Description
Today I found out one of my long-time favourites at the RDA has passed away. Casper, formally Eddie, was 24 years old, and 17.1hh.
Only last week he had jumped out of the field. He had been suffering from navicular and arthritis for a little while, now.
Unfortunately, he's been dead since yesterday. The farmer was unable to come to move the body, so he's staying there again tonight. Needless to say, despite covering him in spare rugs and padding these down with breezeblocks, the foxes found a way.
I'll miss his huge head poking over stables doors and walls, looking for a treat, but staying there anyway to get a rub. I'll miss grooming him, and trying to stretch for the muddy patch right at the top of his neck that seemed to be there permanently.

It's Casper! I loved that horse <3 and I can't believe he died, I saw him on the thursday and he looked bright as anything! I hated knowing/seeing that he was still in the field on sunday, R.I.P Casper[Eddie] Shall miss you, and i'm sure noone will forget you at strangs, you were a gentle giant <3
